Sisters of Charity Health System and ministries extend holiday wishes to all

This Christmas season, the Sisters of Charity Health System and all of our ministries celebrate the new beginnings and healthier tomorrows created this year. Together, we light the way to health and wellness for individuals, families and communities in Ohio and South Carolina.

Across all ministries, we share a mission to extend the healing ministry of Jesus to God’s people.

One example of this holiday spirit is shared by Providence Hospitals, whose employees volunteered at the Salvation Army “Scrubs Day” December 11 in Columbia, South Carolina.

Hosted by the Salvation Army, the event asked health care professionals from across the state to gather to package holiday toys, meals and other gifts for those in need. Providence Hospitals volunteers responded, including President and CEO George Zara, physicians, representatives from the Providence Hospitals Development Foundation and more.

With the support of Providence Hospitals, the effort served more than 4,000 children and families this year.
