Get Out and Vote March 6! And Support Cuyahoga County’s Issue 15—Health and Human Services Renewal Levy

With one week until voting on March 6, the Sisters of Charity Health System reminds residents of Cuyahoga County to support Issue 15, the 2012 Cuyahoga County Health and Human Services renewal levy. The Sisters of Charity Health System (SCHS) Board of Directors recently passed a resolution endorsing Issue 15, the 2012 Cuyahoga County Health and Human Services renewal levy. The resolution noted in part “Whereas, SCHS and our sponsored ministries address the critical needs of adults, families, youth and children in our communities; and our mission therefore mirrors the intent of the Health and Human Services levy; and whereas, we share a mutual interest with Cuyahoga County in advancing the common good, particularly for our low-income and vulnerable neighbors; now therefore, be it resolved that the Board of Directors of SCHS recognizes the far-reaching importance of the passage of Issue 15 …and … that the Board of Directors of SCHS supports the renewal of Issue 15… and encourages the individual and organizational members of the Health System and our sponsored ministries to join this Board in actively advocating for its passage on Tuesday, March 6, 2012.” The SCHS Board of Directors welcomed Matt Carroll, Chief of Staff, Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald, to its board meeting earlier this month. Carroll spoke with members of the board and received a copy of the approved resolution. For pictures from his visit, please visit the SCHS Facebook page.
