St. John West Shore accredited as a chest pain center with PCI

A celebration to congratulate all those who helped St. John West Shore Hospital receive its designation as an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention) was recently held at Bubba’s Barbecue in Avon Lake, Ohio.

“I was honored to join the Senior Leadership team in acknowledging the individual and collective efforts responsible for this designation by The Society of Chest Pain Centers, which had followed a lengthy review process,” said Cliff Coker, President of St. John West Shore Hospital.

In the final report, the surveyors gave the Chest Pain Center high marks for its quality and attention to patient care. In addition, they commented on the staff’s excellent communication skills and work collaboration among themselves and with other departments, which is extremely important in such an environment. St. John West Shore Hospital was granted a full Cycle II accreditation with PCI for three years. Congratulations!
