Providence Hospitals employee receives prestigious Service Award

Providence Hospitals recently presented employee Ruth Nichols with the hospitals' most prestigious honor, the Servant Award. Established in 2005, the Servant Award recognizes a Providence employee for outstanding, consistent service demonstrating the mission and core values of the hospitals: courage, collaboration, respect, justice and compassion. St. John West Shore dedication ceremony for holistic birthing suite

St. John West Shore's Holistic Birthing Center is first of its kind in Northeast Ohio. The Holistic Birthing Center was designed for healthy, low-risk mothers and healthy babies. Birth is a normal process and intervention is typically not needed for healthy mothers. However, unlike natural childbirth at home, the Holistic Birthing Center offers the safety net of around-the-clock pediatric and obstetric physician coverage.
