Mercy Opens Newly Renovated Pain Management Facility

Canton, Ohio: On Tues., July 28, Mercy Medical Center will hold a blessing ceremony and open house for newly renovated Mercy Pain Management, located on the second floor of Mercy Surgery Center. High schools students pursue medical profession at Providence

Pursuit, Providence Hospitals’ education program for rising high school juniors and seniors in the Midlands is a two-week summer program that gives students opportunity to shadow health care professionals and learn about the medical field first-hand. Only 42 students were chosen out of 100 applicants from Richland, Lexington and Fairfield districts for this year’s Pursuit program.  The program is split into two, two-week sessions, with 21 students participating in each session. Mercy Medical Center opened its new intensive care unit (ICU) on . This $20.5-million-dollar ICU, a 24-unit ICU is a family-focused, state-of-the-art facility with leading-edge, critical care technology located behind the Mercy Surgery Center. Sisters of Charity Health and University Hospitals sign nonbinding letter of intent

CLEVELAND, Ohio – March 3, 2009 – The Sisters of Charity Health System (SCHS) and University Hospitals (UH) have jointly announced a non-binding letter of intent to modify their existing 50/50 not-for-profit ownership structures of St. Vincent Charity Hospital in Cleveland and Mercy Medical Center in Canton. An equal 50/50 joint venture between SCHS and UH will remain at St. John West Shore Hospital with the addition of UH assuming operations through a new management agreement. More...
