Cleveland State University (CSU) recently announced that it awarded grants ranging from $2,500 to $5,000 to 20 CSU faculty members representing an array of disciplines and to four CSU student organizations. Sisters of Charity Foundation of Canton helps community members prepare for new GED test

The General Educational Development (GED) test was recently updated nationwide to better reflect the skills a senior in high school is expected to have mastered upon graduation, as well as to make the test accessible only by computer. In response, the Sisters of Charity Foundation of Canton has provided a grant to the Canton City Schools Adult Basic and Literacy Education (ABLE) program to help test takers better prepare for the new GED exam.

Mercy Medical Center’s Mercy Service League scored a big win for Mercy Dental Services and General Practice Dental Residency Endowment at its inaugural Souper Bowl fundraising event. Sign up with the Health Insurance Marketplace by February 15 have coverage March 1

According to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, since October 1 last year, millions of people have enrolled in new coverage under the health care law. They’ve signed up either for private insurance through the Health Insurance Marketplace or for the Medicaid program. There’s still time to enroll and have coverage as soon as March 1.
