St. Vincent Charity Medical Center, Providence Hospitals and St. John Medical Center score high in patient safety

Three Sisters of Charity Health System hospitals achieved high marks in the latest Hospital Safety Score update from The Leapfrog Group. The Hospital Safety Score assigns A, B, C, D and F grades to more than 2,500 hospitals in the United States based on preventable medical errors, injuries, accidents and infections. Within the Sisters of Charity Health System, St. John Medical Center received an “A,” St. Vincent Charity Medical Center received a "B" and Providence Hospitals received “B” in the fall 2013 update from Leapfrog. Sisters of Charity Health System shares video annual report to the community

Sister Judith Ann Karam, CSA, president and CEO of the Sisters of Charity Health System, recently hosted a series of presentations on the state of the Sisters of Charity Health System. Hundreds of board members, leaders, caregivers, employees and friends of the health system and its ministries participated in the events, which were held in Cleveland and Canton, Ohio, and Columbia, South Carolina. As featured in a 5-minute video, the presentations highlighted the collective accomplishments in the past year of the health system and its family of ministries, which includes five acute care Catholic hospitals, two elder care facilities, three grantmaking foundations and six outreach organizations. Regina Health Center named one of Best Nursing Homes in the country by U.S. News & World Report

Regina Health Center has been named one of the best nursing homes in the country by U.S. News & World Report. The center has also maintained the highest Five-Star Quality Rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), which is a rating only 14 percent of all nursing homes in Ohio received.
