Catholic Community Connection will hold their annual symposium September 16 at the Center for Pastoral Leadership in Wickliffe, Ohio. Black Health Empowerment Project: Free and Open to the Public

"Black Health Empowerment Project: Eat, Move and Test for Health" organized by United States Representative Marcia Fudge, will be held Saturday, August 22 at John Hay High School in Cleveland, Ohio. This event is free and open to the public with doors opening at 9:00 a.m. and concluding at 3:30 p.m. In addition to free breakfast and lunch, the event will provide health and wellness sessions for women, men and seniors; free health screenings and exhibitors; fitness and cooking demonstrations; fun workshops for kids, and more. Celebration of Wellness

Celebration of Wellness is a daylong adventure in interactive learning & fun designed to assist Central neighborhood families in gaining necessary tools for healthy living. The health fair activities focus primarily on cancer detection and prevention. Events include a one-mile walk run, outdoor family games, and healthy snacks. St. John West Shore dedication ceremony for holistic birthing suite

St. John West Shore's Holistic Birthing Center is first of its kind in Northeast Ohio. The Holistic Birthing Center was designed for healthy, low-risk mothers and healthy babies. Birth is a normal process and intervention is typically not needed for healthy mothers. However, unlike natural childbirth at home, the Holistic Birthing Center offers the safety net of around-the-clock pediatric and obstetric physician coverage.
