Providence Hospitals part of team that saves former Columbia Mayor

In April, former Columbia Mayor Bob Coble fell ill at the South Carolina Statehouse, where a volunteer doctor and two nurses identified the episode as a heart attack and immediately worked to stabilize him. The Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board of Cuyahoga County presented a number of awards at its May 18 annual meeting, including naming Leslie Koblentz, M.D., the mental health professional of the year. St. Vincent Charity launches anniversary initiative with spring clean up

More than 50 of caregivers from St. Vincent Charity Medical Center and their families gathered May 3rd to give back to the neighborhood around the hospital at a spring clean up event. Efforts included planting, painting, general grounds keeping and trash pickup. The community rejuvenation was the first event in St. Vincent’s 150 for our 150th community initiative. [More]

2015 Harvest Ball to benefit Mercy Medical Center facility transformation

Mercy Service League will hold its 2015 Harvest Ball October 24 in the Canton Memorial Civic Center Auditorium with proceeds benefiting the first phase of the Mercy Medical Center facility transformation. The transformation project will provide more private rooms throughout the hospital, as well as renovate part of the hospital’s fifth floor into a state-of-the art orthopedic and observation unit. CVS Health recently provided community grants to both St. Vincent Charity Medical Center and Joseph’s Home to help increase access to quality health care services and improve health outcomes. St. Vincent Charity received a $10,000 grant to support its diabetes education program. Joseph’s Home received a $5,000 grant to help provide nursing care to its acutely ill homeless residents.
