Mercy Cancer Center receives national achievement award for third consecutive time

Mercy Cancer Center at Mercy Medical Center was recently presented with the 2014 Outstanding Achievement Award by the Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). Mercy Medical Center is one of a select group of only 75 U.S. health care facilities with accredited cancer programs to receive this national honor for surveys performed last year. [More]

Mercy Medical Center recently hosted a continuing education program for emergency medical services (EMS) in honor of American Heart Month. As part of the event, Mercy’s Emergency Chest Pain Center presented its STEMI (St Elevation Myocardial Infarction) Cup award to the Dover Fire Department for achieving the door-to-balloon angioplasty time of six minutes, which was the fastest at Mercy for the second half of 2014.
