Health care and community leaders welcome new SCHS president & CEO at GCHI event

Cleveland and Northeast Ohio medical and community leaders recently gathered at the Global Center for Health Innovation to welcome Thomas J. Strauss as president & CEO of the Sisters of Charity Health System. More than 300 community and industry leaders gathered for the event, which featured a keynote from Tom, as well as remarks from Sister Judith Ann Karam CSA, congregational leader of the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine; Robert Spangler M.D., board chair of the Sisters of Charity Health System; and Cuyahoga County Executive Armond Budish. South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families program receives Healthy Insights grant money

A Father's Place, which is part of a network of fatherhood programs reaching across South Carolina that is supported and coordinated by the South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families, received a check for $25,000 as part of a Healthy Insights Grant from the South Carolina Association for Community Economic Development. The money will be used to improve economic conditions and health for low-wealth families. [More]
