Congratulations to Dr. Mike Canales and Olympic gold-medal winning gymnast Dominique Moceanu on the birth of their new son Vincent Michael! Dr. Canales, surgeon for The Spine and Orthopedic Institute of St. Vincent Charity Hospital, and wife Dominique Moceanu welcomed their 8 pounds, 9 ounces baby on March 13, 2009. Providence Hospitals employee receives prestigious Service Award

Providence Hospitals recently presented employee Ruth Nichols with the hospitals' most prestigious honor, the Servant Award. Established in 2005, the Servant Award recognizes a Providence employee for outstanding, consistent service demonstrating the mission and core values of the hospitals: courage, collaboration, respect, justice and compassion. Mercy Earns ENERGY STAR Designation
