Mercy Medical Center recognized for excellence with American College of Cardiology Cardiac Cath Lab Accreditation

The American College of Cardiology has recognized Mercy Medical Center for its demonstrated expertise and commitment in treating patients who come to a cardiac cath lab for care. Mercy was awarded Cardiac Cath Lab Accreditation based on rigorous onsite evaluation of the staff’s ability to evaluate, diagnose and treat patients who come to the cardiac cath lab. St. Vincent Charity Medical Center, Legal Aid partner to improve health of addiction, psychiatric patients

St. Vincent Charity Medical Center and The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland have launched a medical legal partnership (MLP), providing free, on-site services to resolve civil legal issues that impact the overall health of addiction and psychiatric patients. St. Vincent Charity’s MLP program is the first of its kind in Ohio to focus solely on the needs of those in treatment for behavioral health and addiction diseases. [More]

South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families programs exceed enrollment goal

September 2016 marked the beginning of year two of grant funding for the South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families from the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families Grant, with the goal to recruit 500 voluntary participants into fatherhood programs statewide. The center and its multiple fatherhood programs exceeded that goal with 553 voluntary participants enrolled between Sept. 30, 2016 and Sept. 29, 2017. [More]

Catholic Diocese of Cleveland: Fall Fest draws a crowd to Light of Hearts Villa

Fall Fest is the largest annual fundraiser for Light of Hearts Villa and is a celebration of the ministry’s mission as residents, families, friends and staff come together to raise money to benefit the Sr. Helen Scasny,SC Benevolent Fund, which provides for those residents who outlive their financial resources.
