Providence Hospitals receives top rating from Society of Thoracic Surgeons for 16th time in a row

The Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) has awarded its highest overall rating of three stars to Providence Hospitals for the 16th time in a row. Providence has now received the highest rating for every six-month reporting period since STS began giving the recognition with 2006 data. In the latest round, only 12 to 15 percent of hospitals participating received the three-star overall rating. [More]

The International Association of Forensic Nurses recently recognized Mercy Medical Center nurse Shawanna Musick-Eckert for forensic nursing excellence for the second year in a row.
