Giesele Robinson Greene, M.D., is senior vice president & chief medical officer at the Sisters of Charity Health System.
Dr. Greene is also locally responsible for overseeing St. Vincent Charity Medical Center’s role in the community in urban medicine, medical education, and services to meet the hospital’s mission and vision.
Dr. Greene provides medical leadership for the health system, in partnership with the hospital medical staffs.
She oversees and advances best practices in clinical care, quality and safety. She also oversees the system quality performance and patient safety plans, and promotes service excellence philosophies and behaviors throughout the health system. She provides oversight to the credentialing process, patient safety efforts, physician leadership development, clinical performance improvement, clinical-care quality and standards, graduate medical education, medical staff development and urban medicine planning and initiatives.
Previously, Dr. Greene served as a health services medical director at UnitedHealthcare covering northern Ohio, including the Toledo, Cleveland-Akron and Youngstown communities. Dr. Greene practiced privately in the specialties of geriatrics and internal medicine for many years prior to her administrative roles, and served as the chief medical officer of St. Vincent Charity Medical Center.
