Heather Stoll’s work for the Sisters of Charity Health System began in 1995.  Since that time, she has been given responsibility for a number of high-visibility community projects,  external relations initiatives, and has coordinated a number of educational programs.  As Vice President for External Affairs for the Sisters of Charity Health System, Heather Stoll coordinates the development and implementation of communications and government affairs/public policy initiatives.  Developing the organization’s first-ever government affairs and public policy program directed at federal, state and local policymakers to help advocate on behalf of the needs of the poor and underserved.  As a result of the initial work in government affairs and public policy, the Sisters of Charity Health System did expand this department.

In addition, she also provides support to efforts promoting education and collaboration among the Sisters of Charity Foundations of Canton, Cleveland and South Carolina.  Through that role, Heather has worked with renowned speakers as Juan Williams and Marian Wright Edelman to appear at conferences designed to raise awareness for the needs of the poor and underserved.

At the core of Heather’s work is implementing a comprehensive, proactive branding and communications program designed to build awareness and support for the organization’s many health and human service ministries.  In this regard, Heather is coordinating a proactive media relations program, implementing efforts to educate and share information among its 10,000 employees and physicians, coordinating the development of collateral materials and publications, and developing and planning for the implementation of a target advertising and direct mail campaign.   A current priority on Heather’s agenda is spearheading a new identity program for the Sisters of Charity Health System that will help communicate how the organization has evolved into a Mission-driven organization with over twenty nonprofit organizations.

Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, Sisters of Charity Health System was established in 1982 as the parent corporation for the sponsored ministries of the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine (CSA) in Ohio and South Carolina.  Today, the Sisters of Charity Health System continues its commitment to physical, psychological and spiritual health continues through a range of health and human service organizations, including five state-of-the-art hospitals; two geriatric residential facilities; direct services in health, housing, education, and grantmaking foundations with significant community initiatives that address root causes of poverty.

A Cleveland native, Ms. Stoll is a graduate of Hathaway Brown School and Smith College. She also holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.  Her community involvement includes participation in the Health & Caring for All Investment Committee of United Way of Greater Cleveland.  From 1997 to 1999, she was the youngest Board member for the Smith College Club of Cleveland where she worked to interest local girls in attending the Massachusetts institution.  Ms. Stoll resides in Moreland Hills with her husband Tibor Regele and their daughter Lily.
